SANDI GERSHOWITZ

I always loved to teach. I taught Physical Education to the best middle and high school students. It was exhausting but invigorating.

My history has lead me down a path that now includes teaching yoga. I graduated teacher training Spring 2013, and was thrilled to start my teaching career in New York in the same studio where first began as a student in 2009. I am passionate about this voga as it has healed my knee problems and helped me maintain a feeling of confidence and peace in my life. When I am doing my yoga I feel like anything and everything is possible. The days that I practice know can manage my stress. The positive energy in the yoga room is contagious and reaches every aspect of my world. This yoga is my lifeline and the key to my happiness and health. I love it, I believe in it, and I am passionate about teaching it.

As a teacher I help students to notice. I believe that with patience and persistence. yoga can help anyone heal. A favorite quote I often think of is by BKS lyengar…

“Yoga teaches us to cure what needs not to be endured and endure what cannot be cured.”

STEFF ROTH

I first attended class in 2007 and liked it immediately. A positive challenge. Initially, I’d take a class here and there, and it always made me feel good.

Once I stepped into it consistently, I have felt nothing short of amazing; physically, mentally, emotionally. I feel strong, and not just in the physical sense. Clear of mind Exceptionally patient. My heart is always full. I feel constantly inspired, and invariably improved. Becoming an instructor has only made me tall more deeply in love with each practice I lead. My certifications cover multiple styles of yoga, among which include Traditional Hot60, Yin Yoga, and Open-Level & Power Vinyasa.

Classes are always about the students. My goal is to continually entice them to become more focused, more humble, more disciplined and more refined in their practice and in their lives – all wonderful traits other instructors have instilled in me.

Yoga is easily one of my favorite parts of each day. It pulls all areas of life and creates balance. I think we, as humans, are truly happy when we pinpoint the things that make us fee connected to ourselves. Only then can we be effectively inspirational to others. Yoga has been one of those connective things in my life. I am honored to share my experience and knowledge with each of the students at this studio.

MARCI CATALA

My Yoga Journey began, early on, during my high school years. Luckily, my fellow class mates and I were given the option of yoga as a gym elective. Granted, my younger self had no idea how this practice would fully encompass my life in the future, but I knew yoga was something I would quickly love. In 2012 (many moons later) I began my first TT program, certifying in kids yoga.

The following year, I received my 200 Hour TT from Yogavida. I dove into this journey with full force. A few years after that. with many classes and workshops completed, I received my prenatal certification at Pure yoga.

Today, as a yoga instructor of over 10 years, it has been my highest priority to inspire others to reach limits they may perceive as impossible. The passion I exude in teaching directly reflects my desire to educate, prepare, and empower individuals to be able to accomplish their wellness and fitness goals. Throughout this practice we are constantly reconnecting, reawakening, and reigniting the divine spark within.
