I’m so excited to be guest blogging for the yoga studio and wanted to share a bit more about myself. We have a lot in common.
I am really lucky to have spent the last 15 years doing what I love – and that’s dedicating myself to health, wellness and fitness. I am a fellow yogi who is Bikram-certified (come take my class on Tuesday evenings in March at the Rockville Centre studio!) and have been fortunate enough to study under some of the country’s finest Yoga Masters including Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury, Tim Miller (Ashtanga Yoga), Peter Rizzo (Vinyasa Yoga), Dharma Mittra (Dharma Yoga) and John Friend (Anusara Yoga.) I am also a newly-certified Pilates instructor.
My real interest and focus is on ‘aligning’ ourselves to receive the fullest possible experience of life and I’ve learned that this approach has everything to do with our thoughts, our moves and the food choices we make. This philosophy is ultimately what led me to get certified as a Holistic Health Coach and a trained cook of natural, whole, healing foods. I’ve since founded The Cleansing Project, a company that aims to help clients achieve their health and wellness goals to enhance their life by focusing on what we eat both on the plate and off of it (life food.) I’m really passionate about health coaching!
