I started Bikram Yoga in 1999 from being in agony after hurting my back due to my work – herniating my L4/L5 disc. My chiropractor recommended Bikram Yoga. I was hooked from the start. From having very little flexibility and being in pain, it definitely was extremely challenging but everyday the pain started to dissipate more and more and my overall range of motion increase greatly. After healing my own body and practicing for 2 years, I decided to go to teacher training because I wanted to share and spread the yoga as it has helped me tremendously heal from my injuries. Bikram Yoga Training is what gave me a thirst for more anatomy and the amazing work of Structural Integration.

About Yolanda Nash

Yolanda Nash – Bikram Yoga Certified in 2002, is co-owner of Bikram Yoga Rego Park, Queens, NY. She is also certified in prenatal/postnatal yoga and children’s yoga. She is also a certified Reiki Master.

I was introduced to Bikram Yoga from a friend and it has absolutely changed me completely. It came to me at the right time of my life because I was extremely stressed from working at a bank in Wall street and going to school part-time. I have to say, it was not love at first sight. I struggled with just being still! and it was definitely tough convincing to get me back into class. But I did and boy did the first impression change. I slowly started to see the improvements in myself and started to enjoy it. Bikram Yoga has helped me and relieved my physical discomforts. It has also made me appreciate myself more and be greatful for everything in my life. I decided to follow John’s footsteps and also become a teacher. Teaching brings true joy to my heart! Throughout this amazing journey, John and I became proud parents to Ryan Hunter (3 years old) & Ruby Maria (1 years old). We are also grateful for our amazing yoga family – the loving teachers, staff and students that contribute in creating such a peaceful and loving environment.
